Schrödinger Theatre, School of Physics, Trinity College Dublin.
The historic Schrödinger lecture theatre, located in the Fitzgerald Building in Trinity’s School of Physics will be our conference venue. The Schrödinger theatre is named after the famous ‘What is Life?’ series of public lectures delivered by Erwin Schrödinger under the auspices of the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies at Trinity College Dublin in February 1943. The first book on optics in the English language ‘Dioptrica Nova’ was written by William Molyneux, a scholar in the school of physics. Other distinguished names associated with this school include MacCullagh, Hamilton, Lloyd, Preston and Fitzgerald.
